NotICE

Dear All,

Sorry that I haven't updated my blog for like... forever. I'm currently juggling four part-time jobs, and working most of the time, especially on weekends like there's no weekends on the calender to me.

I'm still trying very hard to document all the things going on to me everyday, it's just that I need to find time to post them onto my blog.

So, if you don't see me updating my blog, don't worry, I'm still alive and kicking. And I must be making a lot of money at that time.

Love ya'll!!

cAMpuS iN SumMEr

This is part of the campus during summer vacation-- empty and quite. I came to school this afternoon because I had to pay the housing fee for this month. Although it's so empty and quite, these's still lots of things going on on campus. See what I've found:

Can you see it?

It's a wild hare.

The second kind of squirrel on campus-- chipmunk. They're very small, like rats, and they run very fast. This was the best picture I could get since I came to study in the States.

GOurMEt fOOd

These are just part of the food brought back from Chicago. Shiao-long bao and Sanma fish. Seems like two very common food back at home, you may have them every meal if you want, but you just can't get them that easy here in Indiana. Satisfying meal. :)

gIFts!! GIftS!!

I got another parcel sent from my family this afternoon. As you can see in the picture above, I got 2 gifts in the package-- a big leather purse and a magazine. Oops, actually 3 gifts, but because the devil horns seem to be part of me, so I didn't count them in. Aren't they cute? They even glow!

Thank you guys!

alL You CAn eAT buFFet @ CHicAGo

Haven't been eating like this for a long time. I had dishes like that for at least three rounds. I was so excited that I didn't even remember to take pictures for some of the dishes. They got all kinds of Japanese food, Udon, Sushi, actually I don't remember all the categories they have, coz I was focusing too much on salmon nigiri. For all the choices, and all the amount you can eat, it only cost 15 USD!! Last time I bought five orders of salmon nigiri from one of the Japanese restaurant I work for, after 10% off for employees, another 5% off for paying cash, and another two free pieces from the sushi chef, the owner of the restaurant, it still cost me about 2 USD for each piece. I'm sorry to spend so much money just for a few pieces of raw fish, I was really craving for some bites.

Before the dessert, I had a full plate of fruit. And before paying the bill, I didn't forget to make myself a green tea ice cream cone to go with me. It was pretty sweet though. Americanized green tea ice cream, I think.

Also, I went to Chicago's Chinatown for the very first time. I bought some Chinese food from the Asian stores there, I will post them when I feel like eating them. It was a great and satisfying day.

viETnaMEse DUck EGg

I hope this posting will not be too over for you. I got this egg from my boss at the Japanese restaurant. Remember I worked for them for a whole Sunday alone because they had to go on a business trip to Chicago? This was one of the food they brought me-- unhatched duck egg. They said that they have this all the time when they feel they are lack of energy or luck. Come on people, this is just food. Since I'm born to experience this world, I tried it for the second time of my life.
Everything is sort of normal except the egg shell. It scared the heck out of me!! How could blood vessels grow on the inside of the egg shell? I just don't get it.
I think this will be the last time I ever have unhatched duck eggs. Nothing's different than normal egg, and I had to boil it for over 20 minutes. Moreover, the egg white was so hard yet chewy like rubber, didn't really had interest in it.
To end up, since this will be the last time I'm ever going to have it and see it, I decided to put this past history on my post as a written documentary.

A GueST at THe hOUse

There's gonna be a guest in the house for a while this summer vacation-- PoPo the rabbit. Her owner will be going back home temporary, and PoPo needs to be taken care of. Don't know much about rabbits, but I think it will be a fun guest to have.

Trying to open the "gate" to take a nice picture.

Checking things out....

Ooops... I gotta go now! I gotta catch her back to the cage.
This story ended up happily, but she pooped two balls of rabbit drops in the living room...
