Such a life, such a death.

Just a quotation from a blog of a friend of mine. I've always thought that it's meaningful and I'm afraid that I won't be able to see it someday and that I'm going to forget it in the future, so I decided to "quote" it on mine.

"Born to live. Live to die. Die to realize why we're born. We are not really living. As a matter of fact, we're dying from the moment of the birth. 'Life' is meaningless unless you find your own purpose of it. Seek your ends to live your life, the ends of your life. Live not just to die."

Les Misérables

Who exactly are "les misérables"? Those who are taking advatage of others, in any way attacking others who are unarmed or those who give all their hearts to believe in people with no reservation? For those who have asked yourselves the same question, do you think we're moving forward, or the other way around? Only time will tell, and I wish you the best of luck.

I'm all in black today, because I have to start learning how to use protective coloring to be in part of this world without losing my mind.

So bring it on, show me what it really means to be alive.

pEOplE~~You LIghTEn uP My lIFE!!

Back ground music "What a Wonderful World", please.

Today, I decided to go to school by train instead of my car, coz I'm not in a hurry for any class today. I was going to school just to cheer up my students for the in-school English oral reading competition.

On the way back home, due to the lack of experience for taking trains between my home and school, I took the wrong way! I realized my mistake immediately before arriving the next stop. When I got off the train and walked to the right platform to wait for the right train to take me home, I luckily found out that there's one girl who got on the same wrong train just like me! She's local and knows a lot about southern Taiwan, while I'm always staying in the northern side of Taiwan and would seldom come down if it weren't for my new job. We got along very well, and she even gave me one serving of pudding made by the most famous pudding shop in town!! In fact, I just heard of this famous great shop a few days ago from reading one of my students' English writing! She definitely didn't have to share! But she did, of her own free will, people! And because of this reason, I felt this enormous warmth from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you!! You gave me something much more valuable than a pudding.

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD
(George Weiss / Bob Thiele)
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world

OpeN-Air THeaTEr-- tAIwaNEse VErsIOn

The picture above might be a little dark, because it was taken after I finished my classes today. The movie was played right next to the road, and movies like this aren't played everyday, but once in two months according to luner calender when the moon is full.
Phew... this makes me feel like I'm really in Taiwan, and among all, in a very unsophisticated, down-to-earth countryside in Taiwan.

thE TeaCHer SIde OF me IS baCK

Hey, yo'll! It's been a very long time, hasn't it? How have you all been? I'm starting to teach English again! And this time I'm teaching at a national university in the southern part of Taiwan. It's called Tainan National University of the Arts. It has this beautiful campus, but it's actually located out of nowhere. Luckily, I still have many cute students:

These are just students from 2 of my classes. I'll find chances to take pictures of students of my other classes and keep you updated.
There's no word to describe how great it is to be back to campus! Hurray!!

WOrtH It....

Remember the souvenir I said I bought at the Japan TV Tower? This is how it looks:

Where would you start?

This cartoon character always give his friends a part of his face in need. Usually his check, so I decided to give a bite there to begin with.

Then his big cute round nose, of course. :)

Although it cost me 210 yen, I can't say it's better than other same kind of bread. But, the happiness he brought be was more than 210 yen I think. Priceless. As my family's philosophy goes: "Money can be earned while memories and the happiness at the very moment can't be bought or created any way later on." Thank god I saved money for this moment.
