This is a day for going out again, yo! Ueno(上野) and Akihabara(秋葉原) were the places to visit today.
When it comes to food, what more could you ask for other than having cheap, fresh and local sushi?! A sushi train restaurant was chosen for lunch to start off my day. Sitting at a bar choosing the food you want right in front of you on a rotating belt, oh yeah babe, this is the sushi train bar. It has been what...forever since the last time I even dream of one. I am super excited about this meal! I can die for this moment anytime...hold on, after a second thought, I think I should hang in there until I get so old that I can't taste any difference between hamburger and fresh but cheap nigiri sushi. By the way, just so that you know, there's a pair of nigiri sushi on one dish, and it's 136 yen for a dish. The hot tea is complimentary with your meal. By the end of my lunch, I had 7 dishes. I was filled with happiness.
Gotta keep on moving!! I mean by moving onto dessert, hahaha. I bought a can of chocolate wafer sticks for dessert after meal. I can't explain how kind and easy-going the Japanese grandma whom I bought my dessert from was, but I really should have taken a picture with her. People play a super huge part of my life, really.
And again, but not right after, this is another snack for today. Takoyaki, one of my favorites, were only 200 yen for four. This will never ever come true in the States. God bless their souls.
Hehehe, how lucky am I?! While I was enjoying my hot and delicious takoyaki, guess what I saw-- a sumo wrestler in pink carrying his backpack walking on the streets in Ueno, this was way too cool to miss him without a picture.
If you wanna buy any kind of electronic device that has high-tech off the edge, Akihabara is the place to be. The only thing that I kinda need from here is a new laptop now, but I wasn't planning to spend all my money there, so I was just doing all my window shopping here.
??
This is what I'm talking about!! Who needs a off-the-edge high-tech laptop?! I can never get enough food!! Not to mention this is Japan, where food material and their chefs are highly respected. Alright!! Moderate-priced Japanese BBQ. Hmmmm....that really doesn't sound tasty. Let's try again... Japanese yakiniku!! Food is as good as their service!! Too bad the servers don't take tips for their good service. Good for me though. Lucky!
??
DIY BBQ squid. Japanese mayo on the side.
And lastly, for entertainment, one of a bunch of game shops was chosen as the last stop. I might have been 100 years ago since the last time I've seen a not Americanized one. I meant by the quality, appearance, and most important of all, the "feeling". It cost 500 yen for 3 tries. Of course the pillow never dropped, but it was a perfect ending for this perfect day.
