TWo oF My fAVorATe cHIldHOod BOokS

When I was little, and when I was still staying in the States with my parents, I got a lot of children books from my parents. Picture books, pop-up books, story book, you name it. You might think I do a lot of readings, but actually I scan through most of them, always focusing on the pictures. I remember a lot of the pictures that I've "read" when I was little. Among all the image, Richard Scarry's children books are the most impressive ones.
??
I've always wanted to buy some of his books, and I made it tonight. I missed them so much! Now that I can read English, I found the stories as interesting as the pictures!! I think people should read at least one of his books in their lives.
??
Richard Scarry died in 1994, that's what I've found earlier today. So sad to know that. But at least he had his books past down. If I have chance to teach English to any age of students, I will choose his books as one of the teaching material. And also, I will have my children, if it really happens in the future, read his wonderful books.

"Where the wild things are" won the award of "Caldecott Medal" in 1964. You may key in the title of the book in the dialogue box of Yahoo and search in the category of Pictures for the pictures of the book. You may also be interested in the list of the winners: http://www.ala.org/ala/alsc/awardsscholarships/literaryawds/caldecottmedal/caldecottwinners/caldecottmedal.htm

Yeah, I looked it up, and I think I know the book. We had it in my NYUST college, and I saw it in the children's book room. They have a pretty nice collection of children's English books. I think I will check it out at the book store these days. Afterall, owning a book is really different than reading the pages online.

Thanks for the advice!! :)
